Solderability of PCBs Surface Treatments and Environmental Influences
Jičínský, Jiří ; Zatloukal, Miroslav (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the properties of surface treatment of printed circuit boards. The main purpose of this work is to compare the OSP coating applied under laboratory conditions and the technological procedure established in the company ČEMEBO Blansko. Samples of ENIG, immersion tin and OSP compare due to their critical aspects. In the practical part, the samples au exposed to various elements of nature according to ČSN EN 60068-2. The surface wetting balance method will be used for better comparison and evaluation.
Embedded System for Water Level Monitoring
Hanák, Jiří ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This work is dealing with the design and implementation of an embedded water level monitoring system. The purpose of the system is to control the filling of a tank based on the water level. First of all, the attention is given to the survey of existing measurement techniques and selection of the appropriate sensing elements for a given scenario. In fact, the embedded system is using TFmini and JSN-SR04T-2.0 contactless sensors. The system is controlled by STM32F0 microcontroller from STMicroelectronics programmed in C using HAL abstraction layer. The measured results are sent via Wi-Fi SoC ESP8266EX to the Python server that is used for processing and demonstratiton purposes.
Control and measurement unit for plasma generators
Paulovics, Petr ; Boušek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zemánek, Miroslav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of plasma generators. Specificantlly, the work focuses on the design of HMI devices for plasma generators, including the design of the control part of the generator. The main advantage of controlling the plasma generator using an HMI device is the ability to quickly change important parameters. The HMI device allows convenient switching of the generator output frequency without the need to interfere with the wiring, which leads to higher efficiency when working with the plasma generator. Another advantage of the HMI device is the display of all important information on the LCD display. The work deals with the basic theory of plasma and its use, the division of microcontrollers and the description of their peripherals, the selection of components used and their wiring. The last part of the work is devoted to the software of the plasma generator.
File Synchronization on 3 or More PCs
Nykrýn, Lukáš ; Michlovský, Zbyněk (referee) ; Jurnečka, Peter (advisor)
This document descripes the design and implementation of application for file sharing between multiple computers using an external drive. Application can be run on GNU/Linux and MS Windows. In Windows application performs synchronization at regular intervals. Under GNU/Linux offers extra choice to watch the status of files and immediately synchronize file after change. The whole system monitors and cares for all possible collision states of files that can arise.
USB Host with PIC Microcontrollers
Kučera, Pavel ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Hanáček, Petr (advisor)
The aim of master thesis is implementation of USB host in a microcontroller PIC. The thesis contains description of ways of peripherals to computer connections with detailed description of USB bus. There are also discussed several approaches in implementations USB host for embedded systems. A concept of layered USB host system is designed on the basis of analysis of the state of the art. Finally, the designed system is implemented in microcontroller. Resulting firmware of development kit is tested on real USB device.
Electronic Platform of the System for Eye Retina Acquirement
Malaník, Petr ; Hájek, Josef (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
This work deals with a control of the platform which is used for scanning of the eye retina. The purpose of this platform is the three-axis motion, camera sharpening and a controlling of LEDs to illuminate the eye. Within this is solved the issue of stepper motor control, LED brightness control and communication with a microcontroller. Part of the thesis is the programming of STM32, i.e. 32-bit microcontroller of STMicroelectronics in C/C ++ using HAL abstraction layer and Python 3 demo application.
WETTABILITY OF PCB SURFACE FINISHES
Minář, Jan ; Jana, Toulová (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis with measuring of wetting characteristics by the wetting balance method for samples of different surface finishes from the firm Gatema. It deals with influence of the isothermal aging and reflow processes on wetting characteristics of surface finishes ENIG, HAL and immersion tin. The influence of intermetallic layer on the overall wettability is studied in case of the surface finish of immersion tin. Also deals with the wettability of the nickel layer, after stripped off gold, in case of the surface finish of ENIG.
HAL Technology and Selected Parameters Influence on Quality
Jakub, Miroslav ; Jana, Toulová (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor thesis describes and deals the problems of printed circuit boards production. It focuses on issues of process of lead – free HAL and influence of selected parameters on quality in production process GATEMA s.r.o. in Boskovice. Bachelor thesis contains analysis of PCB using microsection, optical microscopy and a sample of defects created during this process. Bachelor thesis presents on the test boards quality of solder mask developing, evaluates flux contamination with water, residual water on the PCB and it compares the PCB delay in liquid solder. It also determines the limit of non defective cover with the solder and determines the typical thickness of solder mask on the Cu pads and the ratio between the width of font and solder mask thickness.
